Long and successful record
The working relationship between Volvo Logistics and DFDS Tor Line has a long and successful track record, where several of DFDS Tor Lines routes are used for transportation of inbound components to Volvo manufacturing plants and outbound products to Volvo's sales network.

Our relationship is based on close and frequent interaction between Volvo Logistics in Gothenburg and DFDS Automotive commodity team, who through a centralised approach effectively has managed to grow the business to the benefit of both parties over the years.

Wide distribution-area
The cooperation involves transportation of inbound components throughout The Continent, Russia and Sweden handled by the DFDS trailer companies; Hallens and SpeedCargo. Outbound products, such as cars, trucks, busses and excavators are transported via our Ro-Ro/shipping network from The Continent to England v.v., from The Continent/England to Sweden, Norway and Denmark v.v. Last but not least Volvo Logistics and DFDS also work together on transportation from Sweden to the Baltic countries.

In order to produce the best operational environment for both Volvo Logistics and DFDS all transactions in either party's supply chain system are linked via EDI or data interfaces. Subsequently all booking, track and trace, invoicing, etc. is fully visible enabling both Volvo Logistics and DFDS to fine-tune their supply chains.
