Bunker surcharge scale as applicable from 01 January 2009.
All freight rates are exclusive of BAF. The BAF may be adjusted in response to fluctuations in bunker oil prices and rate of exchange (USD).
The BAF scale is based on the bunker price for LS 380 in Rotterdam from www.bunkerworld.com
The USD/Euro exchange rate based on the European Central Bank – www.ecb.int
Prices and exchange rates will be recorded daily from the 15th of month “A” to the 14th of month “B”. The averages will then set the applicable BAF per the 1st of month “C”. In other words, with about 2 weeks’ pre-warning.
If the bunker price goes below Euro140 per ton, the surcharge will be withdrawn.
