Customer Service and Bookings

Bookings should be made through the Customer Service and Booking Department in Immingham. The Customer Service and Booking Department is open 24 hours a day for freight bookings with the exception of Public Holidays. For passenger bookings from Harwich to Esbjerg please refer to DFDS Seaways.

Harwich International Port Opening Hours:

Trailers: 24 hours for delivery and collection

Lift Units: Open all hours except between 22:00 hrs Saturday and 06:00 hrs Sunday

Cargo Deadline:

Driver Accompanied/Trailers: 2 hours prior to departure

Lift Units: 4 hours prior to departure

IMO Units: 4 hours prior to departure

Caravans/Cars/Machines: 4 hours prior to departure

Booking/Waybill Instructions

Booking details should be submitted to DFDS Tor Line, Immingham as soon as possible. Class and UN Number of any hazardous cargo should be advised at time of booking.

Hazardous documentation should be submitted as soon as possible in order that stowage can be planned. Dangerous goods notes must be legible and conform to IMDG regulations.

For driver accompanied units wherever possible full name, date of birth, town of birth, passport number and nationality should be advised in advance of arrival to port in order that authorities can be informed and tickets can be printed.

Documents Carried by Ships Mail

Ships mail should be delivered to/Collected from Port Services, Harwich International Port.

Deadline for export ships mail is 2 hours prior to departure.

Envelopes should be properly addressed and clearly marked with:

DFDS Tor Line cannot accept responsibility for mislaid or lost documents carried on behalf of the client.

Customs Presentation / Customs Clearance

Charges for these services are not included in the sea freight. Documentation and clearing facilities are available in all ports courtesy of DFDS Tor Line’s offices / agents.
